Relic Hunters: The Honest Brotherhood for the Reclamation and Preservation of Historical Relics

...better known as the Relic Hunter's Guild.  Most hunters could tell you that an organization that has to put "Honest" in its name usually isn't.

The Brotherhood was a major plot element in the first Relic Hunters game.  An idea cheerfully stolen from a John Cusak movie, of all places, the Guild was the brainchild of a mysterious backer.  The union sought to bring all Relic Hunters under its wing, and offered them discounted equipment, information, and protection from claim jumpers.  (Well, claim jumpers that also belonged to the Guild, anyway.)  The Guild has attracted a lot of small-time relic hunters looking for an edge or their big break, but somehow it's the senior members who get all the choice stuff.

The "face" of the guild in that campaign was Louis, a relic hunter who had made most of his fame "recovering" relics actually discovered by the PCs.  He had no understanding of why the PCs bore such a grudge against him, and seemed truly hurt when they treated him poorly.

(Note: these characters did not feature in the Savage Worlds run of the game, so they have been only roughly translated from their d20 stats.)

Louis is a big man, with blonde hair and an enormous moustache, dressed in a 'gaudy relic' style.  He favors hats that would make Cugel the Clever proud.
